Clay City Fair 2024

Despite visible storm damage and loss of electricity, Wednesday evening’s Clay City Fair went on without a hitch. Clay City Fair Association members say they worked hard to clean Goshorn Park for the festivities. Despite going back and forth on the parade, organizers say the community’s safety was too important and ultimately rescheduled the beloved event for Saturday at 4:30 pm. Clay County Lions Club members served charbroil chicken while others visited local food trucks. Without the modern luxuries of TV and video games, many families spent the evening together, playing carnival games and riding rides.

    The annual Farmers Appreciation Breakfast at the Clay City 4H Fair continued despite a large power outage in the area. The event was sponsored by the Clay County Chamber of Commerce and First Farmers Bank & Trust. All were welcome to come enjoy a hot breakfast provided by Honeysuckle Hill from 7:30-9 a.m. and share some fellowship while waiting for the power to return after Tuesday’s storm.
