Benefit concert for food pantry scheduled

A local band hopes to feed the souls and those who may be hungry this holiday season. To help support the Clay County Food Pantry, P150 will play a benefit concert at Bethel United Methodist Church, 924 E. Pinckley St., Brazil, at 7 p.m., Dec. 6. 'Coats for Kids' event set at NHS

The Northview High School student council will be collecting "Coats for Kids," Dec. 7-11. There will be collection boxes in the cafeteria. Donations will also be accepted each night of the Christmas Spectacular. New and gently used coats will be accepted. The Northview Freshman boys' basketball team posted a valiant rally, but fell short in a 50-45 decision against Owen Valley Monday night. The Knights fell behind early, as they struggled to contain Patriot center Tanner Bennington for the duration of the game.
