Times Staff Report The seventh-grade Clay City boys' basketball team competed at the Cloverdale Invitational over the weekend and came away with a hard fought runner-up finish. The Eels opened the tourney with a dominating, 58-22 win over the host Clovers as Cade Newton scored 17 of his game-high 25 points in the opening period.
