Local Student Inducted into Alpha Chi Honor Society

Miss Abby Birkey, daughter of Allan and Robin Birkey, Brazil, and a 2008 graduate of Northview High School, was recently inducted into the Indiana Gamma chapter of the Alpha Chi honor society at Grace College. I hope everyone had a really nice Thanksgiving. Mine was great. We all went to John and Christine Clark's home. Cousin Dave and Jennifer brought a great batch of "hanky pankies." Cousin Kathy Sanders made 20 pounds of mashed potatoes and a pan of delicious sweet potatoes. Cousin Nete Clark and her friend Mel brought scrumptious salads and cheese ball. Cousin John Clark brought fresh shrimp and dip. Christine did the noodles and ham. I baked turkey and dressing and made giblet gravy...

Charlotte graduated from high school and later attended secretarial school. Mrs. Briggs married William M. Briggs, who preceded her in death in 1985.
