In the article, "Board shops for voting machines," which appeared in the Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, issue of The Brazil Times, it should be noted the board was shopping for electronic pollbooks, not voting machines. In addition, if the board chooses to go with six voting centers, the savings on poll workers would be approximately $12,000. The Brazil Times apologizes for this inconvenience...

The Poland Historic Chapel hosted author Phillip Gulley as the first in what will be an annual speaker series Sunday, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m. Gulley, author of 16 books, including the "Harmony" series and "Porch Talk," shared small town stories that sounded familiar and warmed the hearts of both small and large town residents.
