Last weekend I spent a delightful three days at a camp in Seymour, Indiana on a type of spiritual retreat. I was one of the Spiritual Directors for this Women's weekend of the Via De Cristo (Way of Christ). This is the Lutheran version of what the Catholic church calls "Cursillo," which means "short course in Christianity", there is also Emmaus Walk and Great Banquet and other movements with the same theme. ...

Official: pothole patching coming soon to Staunton streets

Staunton residents may soon see crews out patching potholes left by this year's winter. At the Staunton Town Council meeting on Monday, Town Street Superintendent Alvin Ripple said he is preparing a truck to begin cold patching. He added the Clay County Highway Department began working on some of the potholes up to the town's limits.
