Animal visits a reminder of days gone by

A tiny ground squirrel scurried across our patio this morning. A few sparrows enjoyed his movements, thereabouts, from top of the chain-link fence. I know it is a far cry from viewing deer in the early hours of morning or other woodland wildlife that visited our space at home. Although, the view beyond the glass doors was a therapeutic boost toward starting my day on a high note. Unfortunately, that little rodent was too busy to stop and chat with me.
