Marvin Jack Whittington, 86, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Waters of Greencastle. He was born in Hoosierville, Indiana on February 4, 1931 to the late Willy and May (Lash) Whittington. Jack served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, and later married Wanda Siples on December 21, 1956. He retired in 1995 from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology after 28 years...

Smiles and laughter filled the Clay County fairgrounds as volunteers and many Duke Energy employees gathered to help with the Christmas Clay County Youth Food Delivery. Over 350 people put on blue T-shirts and red Santa hats provided by Duke Energy and got in line to help fill boxes with food, water, and even a little candy. An assembly line of cars were filled with cans of pasta, bottles of water and other foods needed to provide for 579 kids from 225 families...
