A kitchen fire in a Brazil residence Sunday morning displaced a family. Shortly after 11 a.m., the Clay County 911 Dispatch Center was notified of a fire inside a mobile home located at 753 West Knight Street. When members of the Brazil City Fire Department arrived on the scene, they said law enforcement officers from both the Brazil Police and Clay County Sheriff’s departments were already there assisting the residents to get to safety, while another officer used a fire extinguisher to slow down the fire.. ...
