Golf tourney to benefit local child

On July 28th the eighth annual Pierson DeHart Memorial Golf Scramble will be held at the Forest Park Golf Course in Brazil. “Our son, Pierson, was born into our family nearly 11 years ago with multiple medical problems,” wrote Melissa DeHart. “As a result of his condition our community reached out and gave us much support, we, in turn, want to extend that same support to another family in the community facing a similar situation of raising a child with special needs.”...

Clay City High School senior Faith Petrowski was recognized at the American Legion Auxiliary State Convention on Saturday, July 14 and was presented with the Youth Hero Award for performing an “act of bravery, courage and fortitude”.
