First Baptist Church On Sunday June 7, pastoral candidate the Rev. Dr. Quentin Madden preached his trial sermon. Following the service, members unanimously voted to extend the call for Dr. Madden to become the pastor of First Baptist Church. His first Sunday as permanent pastor will be June 28. Thank you to the members who made the effort to hear the sermon in the midst of a pandemic and to those whose hard work made many options available...

Fire damages cabinet shop in Knightsville

The Interior Fixture and Millwork cabinet company at Knightsville received damage to a room used for painting Saturday night. Ray Jones, who owns the building with his wife, Sharon, said the fire started in a trash can just before dark.
