Batchelor, Tellechea cap strong freshman seasons with Team Indiana

Northview wrestlers Mercedes Tellechea and Varzidy Batchelor recently competed in the 2021 National Women’s Freestyle Duals in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The two Lady Knights were representing Team Indiana, which is coached by Jason DeLois (Director of Indiana Girls Wrestling), Paul Rademaker (Indiana Tech University head women’s wrestling coach) and Katie Kriebel (USA Wrestling Women’s Future Champ Camp Director and Clinician and Oklahoma City University assistant men’s and women’s wrestling coach) during their stay in the Sooner State with Tellechea wrestling in the 180 weight class and Batchelor slotting into the 225 weight class.. ...

WVCF to match donations in YMCA funding drive

Each year the YMCA of the Wabash Valley raises thousands of dollars to support our youth summer programs. This summer the Y has a goal to raise $30,000. To help nonprofits recover financially from the Covid-19 pandemic, the Wabash Valley Community Foundation will match one dollar for every two dollars donated to this campaign up to $30,000 if the donation is made by September 30th. Every dollar counts and 100% of donations go to support YMCA Summer Programs...

PHOTO ESSAY: NMK, Rotary Club work together to keep county clean

The Brazil Rotary Club and the Northview Marching Knights worked together on Saturday to help clean up a dumpster full of trash in a 23-mile area around the county. The Rotary Club made a $3,000 donation to the band for its help.
