Mitchell Hyde, 52, passed from this life on May 12, 2024 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Mitchell was born to the late Max Hyde and Beverly (Gibbs) Wells on August 13, 1971 in Brazil.

Mitchell graduated from Northview High School in 1990. After graduation he began working as a grill cook at Jackson’s Family Restaurant. On September 12, 1992, Mitchell married the love of his life, Cassandra Simmons. Mitchell worked for Walmart Distribution for over 16 years.

Mitchell was a sports fanatic. From football, basketball, baseball, and really almost any sport, he loved to watch them all. His favorite teams were the Colts, Cubs, Pacers, and the Hoosiers. He loved being outdoors hunting mushrooms and fishing. He loved when the weather was nice and he could grill out.

Mitchell is preceded in death by his parents, both his maternal and paternal grandparents and his twin brothers, Terry and Barry Hyde.

Mitchell is survived by his wife, Cassie Hyde, three children, Zachary Ryan Lane, Anthony Hyde (fiancé Brittany), and Brandon Hyde (girlfriend Emma), one grandson, Carter Lee Everett Hyde, nine siblings, Matt Hyde, Brenda Schultz (Ken), Christie Harmon (Bill), Gilbert Hyde (Tammy), James Hyde (Susan), Virgil Hyde, Jeff Hyde, Michelle Brown (David), Kevin Hyde, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 15th from 11 – 2 at Lawson Miller Chapel, 1702 East National Avenue in Brazil. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Chris Gregg will begin at 2 P.M. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
