OLA PEARL NELSON, Brazil, IN

Ola Pearl Nelson, 86, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on May 21, 2024, while staying at Cloverleaf Nursing Home.

Pearl was born on August 16, 1937, in Reelsville, Indiana, the daughter of William “Bill” and Stella Morgan. She graduated from Reelsville High School. She married John Bemis who preceded her in death. Pearl worked at Midland Glass before becoming a cook at various restaurants around the area. She enjoyed playing Euchre and crocheting but most of all enjoyed her beloved dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son John Bemis; grand-daughter Tina Weis, grandsons: T.J. Kates and Robert Curtis.

Survivors include her 4 children: Ava Curtis, Janet Weis, Melvin Bemis, and Edward Bemis; grandchildren: Eddie Weis (Amy), Devin Bemis, Grace Dickison, Scott Curtis (Diana), Jamie Weaver (Zach), and April Curtis (Shawn Bussing); great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Weis, Logan Weis (Mallory Buell), Halle Weis, Jacob Muncie, Anna Muncie, Kaleb Travelsted, Avery Travelsted, Theo Travelsted, Kynsley Travelsted, Remi Bussing, and Braxton Bemis; great-grandkid: Gianna Weis.

Her family greatly appreciates the love and care shown to her by the staff at Cloverleaf Nursing Home.

Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana, 47834, on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 12:00 until 1:00 PM. Services will begin at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at Clearview Cemetery.
