NANCY KAY (FERRY) CRAIG, Brazil, IN

Nancy Kay (Ferry) Craig, age 83 of Brazil, joined her Heavenly family on June 17, 2024. She was a resident at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls in Ammon, Idaho. She moved to Idaho to live with her youngest son, Jason, and his family. All her children were blessed to spend time with her shortly before her passing.

Nancy was born May 7, 1941 in Brazil, the daughter of Francis Marion and Ruby Louise (Nicoson) Ferry. She graduated from Brazil High with the class of 1959. After high school she worked at G C Murphy’s and her latest job was working as a cook at Clay City High School. Her children loved when she would buy school pizza to eat at home. Nancy loved her family.

Nancy loved books and writing poetry. You could find her poetry written on every scrap of paper or used envelope that she could find. She also loved photography. She especially loved taking pictures of her family. She had a huge heart and spent many hours with her mother, her sisters, and her brothers when they were sick or in the hospital. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Nancy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Even when she wasn’t able to attend Church, she had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ. She enjoyed sharing spiritual thoughts with her children.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Ruby, her brother, Ernest “Bud” Ferry, her two sisters, Patricia Traverse and Edith Baysinger and her son, Adrian Joel Craig.

She is survived by her brother: Mike Ferry of Brazil, 3 children: Sheri Dawn Lukens (Ed) of Greenfield, Indiana, Aaron Christopher Craig (Nohemi) of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Jason Shawn Craig (Sandi) of Rigby, Idaho; Ex-husband, Jack Craig; grandchildren: Emily Wethy (Scott), Amy Anderson, Michael Lukens, Liahona Higgins (Tyler), Samantha Craig, Cameron Craig, Ayden Craig, Aubrie Craig, and Maxon Craig; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 22 from 12 - 2 P.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1845 N 6th ˝ Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804. A funeral service will begin at 2 P.M. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery in Brazil.
