TIMOTHY JOE DOVE, Clay County, IN

Timothy Joe Dove, 86, passed away surrounded by family on June 30, 2024.

Tim was born to the late Marshall and Mary (Rayman) Dove on May 20, 1938.

Tim married Naomi Ruth Curtis in 1958, she preceded him in death in November of 2000. Tim worked as a crane operator, and several other positions at Great Dane until his retirement in 2000. Tim enjoyed woodworking and bead art. On July 19, 2001 Tim married Julia Lucas, she preceded him in death in 2016. Tim was a member of the First Apostolic Tabernacle and United Pentecostal Church where he attended until his health prohibited from attending.

Tim is preceded in death by his first wife, Naomi, and second wife, Julia, a step son, Steve Lucas, and one sister, Marsha Madill.

Tim is survived by three sons: Timothy Lee Dove (Debra), Dwayne Allan Dove, Tony Ray Dove: six grandchildren: Jennifer, Karen, Allie, Taylor, Breana, and Britney; six great-grandchildren: Reece, Brayden, Ryan, Destony, M.J., Easton, and Meyer, one great-great granddaughter Teresa Ann. Tim is also survived by a sister Sherri Sorlie (Michael); and a nephew Michael Sorlie Jr. (Heather).

A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 9th from 11-1 at French Funeral Home, 421 East National Avenue in Brazil. A funeral service, officiated by

Pastor Anthony Warner will begin at 1 P.M. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
