JOSEPHINE A. WEBSTER, formerly of Brazil, IN

Josephine A. Webster, 96, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024, at her home.

Josephine was born on August 7, 1927, in Posey Township, Clay County, Indiana, the daughter of Dennis and Sarah (Biggs) Diel. She married Glenn R. Webster on October 9, 1948 and he preceded her in death on March 27, 2011. Josephine attended church at the Illiopolis United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking, canning and raised goats for many years. Her faith was a very important part of her life and she read the Bible every day.

Josephine is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn; two sisters, Emma Jean Turner and Margaret Diel; brothers, Albert and William Diel and John Rittinghouse; two grandsons, Brian and Christopher Mochel; and son in law John Henry.

She is survived by her children, Rebecca (Michael) Mochel, Cindra Henry and Jane (David) Giovacchini; grandchildren, Robert Mochel, David Henry, Thomas Henry and Charles Henry; 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, from 10:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:30Am at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home, 200 S. Church St. in Mechanicsburg with Pastor Steve Lobb officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00PM at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
