When you see these flowers, fall is on its way. Resurrection Lilies, commonly known as surprise lilies, are named for their sudden appearance in early fall when they spring forth from the ground without warning. Not a true lily; these plants are part of the amaryllis family and are faint pink with a touch of purple.

These “summer surprise flowers” are located at an intersection in Harmony. If you want to see them, hurry because they can be gone as quickly as they sprout.
