COLLEGE REPORT: Notter notches top-60 finish at Wabash College Invitational

Lane Notter and the Wabash College men’s golf team wrapped up the fall portion of their schedule last week in the annual Wabash College Invitational held at Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis.

There, Notter showed the consistency that made him one of the most-decorated golfers during his four years at Northview. The left-handed swinging freshman carded rounds of 78, 80 and 80 to give him a cumulative score of 238 (+22) that put him in a tie for 57th place and helped the Little Giants finish 11th in the team standings.

Notter was one of several former Clay City and Northview standouts that put together noteworthy performances over the last week. The others can be found below:

Kaylee Lowe (SMWC women’s soccer)

Kaylee Lowe and the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods women’s soccer team took on Cumberland University and Indiana University Kokomo recently. Lowe started both games, playing an average of 82 minutes. The senior midfielder recorded two shots and one shot on goal in the loss to Indiana University Kokomo. Saint Mary’s owns a 1-8-2 record and hosts Indiana University Columbus and Midway University this week.

Raelee Everhart (SMWC women’s soccer)

Raelee Everhart and the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods women’s soccer team took on Cumberland University and Indiana University Kokomo recently. Everhart appeared in both games, which included one start. The junior midfielder played an average of 56 minutes and recorded six shots and three shots on goal in the loss to Indiana University Kokomo. Saint Mary’s owns a 1-8-2 record and hosts Indiana University Columbus and Midway University this week.

Lauren Rindone (SMWC women’s soccer)

Lauren Rindone and the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods women’s soccer team took on Cumberland University and Indiana University Kokomo recently. Rindone got the start in goal in both games and played an average of 57 minutes. The junior goal keeper recorded 18 total saves, which included 13 in the loss to Indiana University Kokomo. Saint Mary’s owns a 1-8-2 record and hosts Indiana University Columbus and Midway University this week.

Kassidy Kellett (Lee University women’s soccer)

Kassidy Kellett and the Lee University women’s soccer team took on the University of West Florida over the weekend. In the loss, Kellett started and played 59 minutes while recording four shots and three shots on goal. Lee owns a 3-3-4 record and visited the University of Montevallo on Wednesday.

Brevin Cooper (SMWC men’s golf)

Brevin Cooper and the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods men’s golf team recently competed in the Egypt Valley Intercollegiate Tournament held at the Egypt Valley Country Club in Ada, Michigan. There, Cooper posted a two-day score of 246 to finish in a tie for 23rd place. Saint Mary’s returns to the course on Oct. 21 for the Kalamazoo Invitational.

Chase Nuckols (SMWC men’s golf)

Chase Nuckols and the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods men’s golf team recently competed in the Egypt Valley Intercollegiate Tournament held at the Egypt Valley Country Club in Ada, Michigan. There, Nuckols posted a two-day score of 255 to finish in 36th place. Saint Mary’s returns to the course on Oct. 21 for the Kalamazoo Invitational.

Benjamin Goshen (SMWC men’s golf)

Benjamin Goshen and the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods men’s golf team recently competed in the Egypt Valley Intercollegiate Tournament held at the Egypt Valley Country Club in Ada, Michigan. There, Goshen posted a two-day score of 274 to finish in 50th place. Saint Mary’s returns to the course on Oct. 21 for the Kalamazoo Invitational.

Braxton Sampson (ISU football)

Braxton Sampson and the Indiana State University football team took on Murray State over the weekend. In the 31-27 win at Memorial Stadium, Sampson recorded two tackles while also recording one hit on the quarterback. Indiana State owns a 2-4 record and returns to the field Saturday at Missouri State.

Audrey Lee (SMWC volleyball)

Audrey Lee and the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods volleyball team recently took on Franklin College, the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis, Alice Lloyd College and Georgetown College in a pair of tri-way matches as well as an end-of-week standalone contest against Shawnee State University. Lee appeared in all 15 sets the Pomeroys played in and recorded 13 aces, eight digs, four kills and one ace. In the 3-0 sweep over the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis, freshman outside hitter set a program record with nine aces in a single match. Saint Mary’s owns a 25-3 record and visits Midway University on Friday and Indiana University Southeast on Saturday.

Faith Tooloose (Lincoln Trail volleyball)

Faith Tooloose and the Lincoln Trail College volleyball team recently took on Wabash Valley College. In the 3-1 loss, Tooloose appeared in two sets and recorded four digs. Lincoln Trail owns a 13-8 record and visited John A. Logan College on Wednesday.

Kambree Lucas (EKU volleyball)

Kambree Lucas and the Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team recently took on Bellarmine and Florida Gulf Coast in a pair of ASUN matchups. Lucas appeared in both matches, playing all six sets. The redshirt senior outside hitter recorded 14 kills, six digs and two aces. Eastern Kentucky owns a 12-7 record and visits Queens on Friday and West Georgia on Sunday.

Douglas Dillman (Grace College men’s cross country)

Douglas Dillman and the Grace College men’s cross country team recently competed at the Ray Bullock Invitational held in Upland, Indiana. There, Dillman finished 66th overall with a time of 28:33. Grace College returns to the course on Oct. 26 at the Great Lakes Challenge.
